Entry Information

How do I enter?

Here are the steps on how to enter a class:

*We recommend that all contestants read both our "Entry Information" page and our "Class Schedule and Prizes" page before entering*

  1. Pay for your entry via our "Shop" page

  2. Head over to Instagram, @covidhorseshow, and find your class's post. Keep in mind that classes are divided into weeks so please double check your class's start date on it's listing in the shop

  3. Follow our account, the sponsoring companies, the Champion and Reserve Champion sponsoring companies and the judge

  4. Post your entry on your Instagram page with the applicable hashtag. All video entries must be public. Photo entries on private accounts can be screenshotted and DM'd to us as long as they include the post's date and the applicable hashtag

  5. Wait until the class is over! Results will be posted the Sunday after the class has ended at the latest!

What rules must I follow?

Each class has certain rules which can be found in detail on their class listings. Here is a list of our basic rules that every entry must follow. Each class will also have an Instagram post to direct you further once you have paid for your entry.

Entry Rules:

  • All participants must be following Covid Horse Show on Instagram (@covidhorseshow) as well as the judges and company sponsors of their classes

  • All entries that include jumping MUST have the rider wearing a helmet and riding in an english saddle

  • All entries must be posted with the appropriate hashtags

  • All video entries must be posted on a public account

  • Please do not edit any riding videos you enter. Videos should be uncut and full. We ask longer videos to be posted as an IGTV video.

  • All entries must stay up for the entirety of the class and be posted on the contestant's Instagram page, not their story

  • All entries must tag @covidhorseshow in their post, not the caption

  • All entries must be posted during the week of the class. Please do not add hashtags to older posts.

Who can enter?

Anyone! We welcome riders of all ages, experience and for most classes, we welcome riders from all around the world!

When can I enter?

Entries can be bought at any point in the show as long as they are paid for before posting and before the class has ended. However, we ask that all entries be posted during the weak of the class, not before.

Can I post older videos?

Yes! We understand many riders don't have access to their equine companions at this time. We ask that any video or photo you submit is not edited and follows the rules of the class which can be found in each class listing on our Entry Shop page.

How many times can I enter?

As many times per class as you'd like as long as you pay for each entry. Any participants who enter multiple times but don't pay for each entry will be disqualified from all classes.

Where will my money go?

Each event raises money for different charities. Please check the "Show Schedule" page for more information.

Who will be judging?

For most non-riding classes they will be judged by the organizers of the event. For riding classes, we have highly experienced riders, trainers and some certified judges. You can find your judge's name on the class's Instagram post or shop listing.

I am not from North America. Can I still enter?

For most classes, yes! You can find out more information about location restrictions on the class listings on out "Shop" page! You may be held responsible for shipping on prizes if you live outside of Canada or the USA.
